picnic at the truly delightful ancient Masroor Temple, renowned for its rock carvings
afternoon: half-hour walk through beautiful country and jungle by a river to the springs, in an old stone baths and ancient creeper-covered ruined temple, followed by swimming in the river on return walk

TIBETAN DAY walk to McLeod Gung, + short drive
visit the Tibetan Government in Exile and temple building, and Medical Museum

afternoon: tea at Norbulinka, Tibetan Summer Palace, cultural centre and gardens WATERFALL & RIVER WALK
2 hr. walk from Eagles Nest across hillside and into the next valley, swimming in mountain pools in the river

TARAGARH PALACE HOTEL - 2.5 hrs by car
to Kangra Valley and the Shiva Badrinath Temple and complex (one of India's oldest Hindu temples)
lunch at Taragargh Palace Hotel: old Maharajah residence in beautiful gardens, now a hotel with
swimming pool, drinks on the verandah, very relaxed..... PONG DAM - 3 hrs by car. Possible overnight stay in tents
